Samsung teases Bada mobile platform

Posted by davidcao01 on December 8, 2009

We’ve just come back from the Samsung Bada mobile platform launch event in London, and frankly the presentation was no more than an app developer and investor magnet — no rendering of a new UI, no hands-on opportunity and no direct answers regarding the hardware. The only mention of a Bada phone is that something’s coming out in the first half of 2010. That said, today Samsung did bring in representatives of five strong Bada app partners: Twitter, Capcom, EA, Gameloft and Blockbuster. Needless to say mobile gaming is high up on Bada’s agenda, but the brief presence of Twitter’s Head of Mobile, Kevin Thau, solidified Samsung’s dedication for integrating SNS (social networking services) sites on mobile handsets. Yes, just like many fish in the sea. Read on to see how Bada aims to be “an ocean of endless enjoyment.”

Xeeku Twiter client for Andorid shortlisted as best free twitter app by M

Posted by extendlogic on October 26, 2009

Xeeku Twitter is a full featured free Twitter client which is most elegant and refreshing among all Twitter clients. It is shortlisted as best free twitter app by  Matt Silverman at Meshable
Summary of the review:

Advanced tweet manipulation. Selecting a tweet allows you to reply, retweet, go to a user profile, go to a mentioned profile, go to links, and search hashtags. These options are available throughout. Another handy choice is “Gmail Share” which will paste the tweet URL into a new e-mail message for sharing with your Twitterphobic friends and family.

Other smart features include photo uploadtrending topics@reply notifications, andsaved searches.

Interesting features. Xeeku has some unique functions that I haven’t seen in other apps:

By selecting Recent Conversation from any user’s tweets, Xeeku will line up the @replies you’ve been trading with that user so you can read them in succession.

Clicking on a user’s profile will load their timeline and stats, as well as a “friend drawer” which shows the photos of the users they follow, much like a profile page on Twitter.

Selecting “Gallery” from the main menu loads a random selection of “Featured User Photos” from twitter.xeeku.com. This is a fun way to see what users are uploading and find interesting people to follow.

Find out more at:

1. Mobilized introduction web page: http://twitter.xeeku.com/mini_intro.php

3. Swsocial.com “Xeeku Twitter Review!” http://www.swsocial.com 4. AndroidGuys.com “App Review: Xeeku Twitter”
XeekuTwitter is a full featured Twitter client which is most elegant and refreshing among all Twitter clients.
